Spin-Knit
Solar by day, seamless genset switchover by night.
720 kWp
The brief.
Spin-Knit’s Nakuru mill spins yarn around the clock, so its 720 kWp rooftop was engineered for continuity first: harvest solar through the day, then hand over to the genset seamlessly whenever the grid or the sun lets go.
The switchover logic means round-the-clock reliability without an operator touching a breaker, and daytime running costs cut by the array.
